    Would you Rodeo in Hawaii lately ?

    rodeo-hawaiiAfter i have posted about aloha carnival here. We have a saying here: Lucky we live Hawaii! Sometimes we say it in joyous affirmation that this is truely paradise on earth. Other times we’re being a bit sarcastic. Yes, the scenery is lovely, the weather is almost always heavenly and the food is an exotic adventure. And the people - surely the most beautiful people on earth live right here in our islands. There are some difficulties that come with living here, though - primarily the cost of living and the distance from everywhere else we’d like to be! No impulsive road trips for us, other than circling the island.

    I miss the freedom to travel! I miss seeing family and friends and I miss being able to go to special events that were, at one time, a routine part of my life. If you’re not a long-time reader you might be surprised to know that one of those events is the rodeo. See, I spent my pre-school years in a small Texas town where rodeo was a way of life. There was a rodeo practice grounds there, so there was no “off-season.” We could go year-round to watch the cowboys and cowgirls putting themselves through their paces and honing their skills.

    My advise for Adventure Vacation ?

    I have not taken a vacation since I started my business eight years ago. It is difficult to walk adventure_vacationaway from a sole proprietorship, even for a few days. That is not to keep me from fantasizing, though. In my dreams I am young and healthy woman of leisure. I travel the world seeking adventure. Solid beautiful guides lead the way and keep me safe I climb Kilimanjaro. My sleeping tent and hot meals are provided, and I woke up every morning to the sound of joyous singing porters, as the sun welcomed me to a new day. The high altitude is a challenge, but guides specifically trained to know how to control the distress for medical, so I can relax and enjoy my climb into the clouds.

The days will be devoted to wildlife natural Ngorongoro Crater, the Tarangire National Park and the Serengeti, and in the evening I am going to relax in the comfort of a luxury lodge safari with my fellow adventurers. You will be in my mind all the time, dear readers, and on my return I will fulfill my blog with marvelous stories and fauna phtotos. I don’t even remember what it was like to plan a trip before the Internet. That’s why I’ve broken free of my Cat5e tether to the wall and gone wireless at home. Now I can take my laptop to bed and plan my vacations from the most comfortable place in the house!
